GeekMommy

ugh!!

Well, at least it was all going home rather than no luggage at the conference, no transportation etc!!

Glad you made it home safely! :)

Could've been worse - the last time I flew out of IAD, I was coming from Orlando, routed through Dulles to Denver - during Spring Break & Cherry Blossom Festival - we ended up getting put up for the night at Embassy Suites and flying out next day to LAX then Denver... I saw Florida, DC, LA and Denver in less than 24 hrs...
My luggage, however, was circling the carousel at DIA for a good 20 hrs! :P

GeekMommy - I only wish I were home! That won't happen until Monday night. I'm in DC for a conference (www.instituteforinclusion.com), so today at the conference I'll be wearing yesterday's clothes, and even though they're 7 jeans, they're still jeans.

What you describe sounds like a horrible travel experience, but what a tour of some of the world's more frustrating airports. ;)

I like to think of it as my luggage has their own travel plans and itinerary. And if they coincide with where I am going, all the better. Sometimes they just want to see the world and who am I to complain? (I complained once but my luggage got cranky and things became ugly fast. Pants are only useful if both sides are connected...) Teaches me to buy sentient luggage. *sigh*

Anyway, hopefully these delays aren't the norm when you travel.
