What was I thinking? I haven't had a run over 2.75 miles yet since the snow melted (there was snow on the track as late as 3/28 this year -- the day of my first run since fall). I am not in race condition. I have no idea if I will be able to finish. And if I do, my time will be terrible. Ack.
I'm about ready to hire a bounty hunter to track down my shopping mojo. Today's mall outing was exasperating, to say the least. I always have this idea in my head of exactly what I want, but unfortunately, it seems there aren't any clothing designers that have that exact idea, too. Damn them. Today was supposed to be pants day -- I planned to buy every pair of pants I found that fit me really well. That didn't work out so great as that amounted to exactly 3 pairs -- 2 of which I bought, and 1 that I shouldn't have tried on in the first place, because I'm not paying $180 for a pair of pants. Even I have my limits. Usually. I did buy a couple of cute skirts and tops, and I hope eventually it gets warm enough here to wear them.
Then there's the shoes. I'm looking for the perfect pair of embellished gold strappy sandals. Something like the $400 pair I liked in this month's Lucky magazine. Except at least $300 less than those. So far, it ain't happening.
